These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Potluck Social app and website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information.

1. Who Can Use Potluck Social

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Accounts and Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. User Content (Recipes, Photos, Posts)

You may create, upload, or share content such as recipes, photos, captions, comments, and profile information ("User Content").

• You own your User Content. Potluck Social does not claim ownership of your User Content.
• License to operate the Service. You grant Potluck Social a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service.
• You are responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the rights necessary to post it and that it does not violate laws or the rights of others.

4. Community Rules

Potluck Social is meant to be a friendly cooking community. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
• Post hateful, violent, or sexually explicit content.
• Upload content you do not have permission to share.
• Attempt to access accounts or data you do not own.
• Abuse reporting, blocking, or follow-request systems.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Following, Likes, and Comments

Potluck Social includes social features such as follow requests, a news feed, likes, and comments. You agree to use these features respectfully. We do not guarantee that any content will be available, visible, or delivered to any particular user at any time.

6. Prohibited Uses

• Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from the Service.
• Reverse engineering or attempting to bypass security controls.
• Uploading viruses or taking actions that could disrupt the Service.
• Using the Service for commercial promotions, spam, or advertising without permission.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service (excluding User Content) is owned by Potluck Social and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without permission.

App imagery ownership notice: The decorative/branding image shown on the Potluck Social landing screen (and other Potluck Social-owned graphics in the app) is original artwork created and owned by the app owner and is used with permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Food safety notice: Recipes and cooking advice are shared by users and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always use your best judgment and follow proper food safety guidelines.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Potluck Social will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date. By continuing to use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to the updated Terms.
